Where Oh Where Can My SoulMate Be???

As I sit here writing this month’s article, I feel compelled to reach out to those who might be spending that most romantic night of nights ‘Valentines’, without a date or very special someone.  Doesn’t seem fair does it?? I just want to send you a ‘Luv Bomb’ (definition: a pink balloon filled with love that explodes all over your target) and say “Hang in there…this too shall pass!”

I get asked quite a bit about SoulMates, especially around this time of year! So, let’s take a look at a few things and clarify, first of all, what the term SoulMate actually means. “SoulMate (or soul mate) is a term sometimes used to personify  someone with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, friendship, love, intimacy, sexuality, and/or compatibility.”

How do you know you haven’t met him/her already? Do you really know what to look for? And what about when you might have thought you met the ‘one and only’ and poof…they are gone! “What the heck happened?” Why didn’t it last for ever and ever?

Some people believe we are made for that one mate that will play a very important role in our lives and bring us total bliss. You can see someone and have instant recognition, never having met them before. This instantaneous love or hate comes from previous lifetimes spent together…reincarnated lovers or maybe very close members of a family. This is all subconscious energy. This theory also goes along with the idea that we are equally male and female souls in the beginning, and split when we come to earth.

SoulMates have the ability to inflict serious emotional pain on each other, as well as feel the deepest love ever felt in their life. Sometimes the pain can create separation from each other, if this karmic relationship (karma=past life) is not resolved and balanced. If you can see the lesson that your SoulMate came to assist you with, perfect harmony can be attained, either for the long term or the short term. Remember that this not necessarily about romantic partners, but everyone you have a relationship with. The deeper the feelings go, the more important the connection with that person.

Do you know anyone who fits any of these descriptions? Think about it and it may help you to understand some of the relationships you are confused about.

Soul Lovers – someone you love and would do anything for, and someone who loves you and would do anything for you. Nothing is required for either person, because everything is already given. You love them more than anything in the world and could not live without them.

Soul sister/brother – someone belonging in the same soul group as you and therefore having an unusually strong bond and likeness to you

Spiritual – concepts of reincarnation and karma from many previous lifetimes together.

Karmic – someone who has a special mission or influence on one's life

Twin – Very close friends with whom one has strong bonds.

Twin flame – A romantic belief that there is only one true SoulMate.

Remember this… If you happen to be temporarily without that ‘special someone’, take a quick peek inside and see if you are the one resisting and why. If you are blocked, this is where Cherrene comes in…lol. Life changes in a blink of the eye! Just know that he/she will be appearing in front of you at any moment – when you least expect it! But if this does not happen soon enough for you, buy yourself some flowers, a bottle of wine (or 2), and cuddle up with your favorite pillow or four legged and watch a great Love Story (some of my fav’s… Serendipity, Made In Heaven, Chances Are, Point Break). Oh yeah, did I forget to mention sending out lots of ‘Luv Bombs’! Love and light!
